What kind of bell schedule do you have at your school

oh and, illinoiskid and confusedjunior, your "mods" sound even better than my schedule. Lucky!

Also, does anyone here have school on Saterday?

only after you're late to class twice

My schools has an A/B block schedule, which means you go to four classes on A day, followed by 4 different classes on B day, and then back to A day. Lunch is 30 minutes, & we also get a 30 minute study hall-type thing.

The only thing weird is the tech and fitness classes, because tech has to meet 3 times a week and fitness 2, so it runs on a different schedule.

i have a pretty strange schedule as well!!!

-school is from 8:30 to 3:50
- we don't have any bells

-we have an 8th period, which is split up into A and B block, you sign up via our intranet for anything you want to do for A and B block. you can do anything from watch the Simpsons to juggling, we also offer the usual academic clubs and study halls

-mondays are "anchor" days, which means we have all of our periods (50 minutes-ish each): 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,and 8 (but on these days our period 8 is our homeroom). also, on anchor days we have 10 minutes between classes, a 50 minute lunch, and a 15 minute break during 7th and 8th period

-Tuesday is a "blue" day and we have periods 1,2,3,4. our lunch is 45 minutes long, and our break is between 3rd and 4th. class is 90 minutes

-Wednesday and Friday are "red" days and we have periods 5,6,7,and 8, a 45 minute lunch, break between 7th and 8th, class is 90 minutes

-Thursday is "JLC" day....definitely the most messed up day ever.
school officially begins at 8:30, but CLASS doesn't start until 9:00. during this half our we are only allowed in our auditorium lobby, the main hallway, the cafeteria, and one other hallways while the teachers "discuss" upstairs. On JLC days, we only have 5 minutes between classes (1,2,3, and 4) and class is i think 88 minutes long..i know, strange. and our break is only 10 minutes, and our lunch is 40 minutes.

there you go...it took me three years to get used to it!

[/quote]
Well, we do have three-hour Saturday detentions...

40 minute periods 4 minutes btw school starts at 8:45 ends 3:10
7 class periods that last 40 minutes 1 lunch that lasts 20-30 minutes and one club period our club period is built in to the day its right after 7th period so basically u have to participate in some Club or another...or take hw club every day of the week plus and or get tutorials b/c u have a 78 or below average for the quater be4..

monday's school start at 8:20 and ends at 2:21(each class roughly 50mins)
tues-Fri. 7:30-2:21 (each class roughly 58 mins)

My school's schedule is simple.

Begins(for students who need help)-8:00
Begins-8:40
Ends-3:00

We have 8 periods, 42 minutes or something like that in between them all.

you people have complicated schedules

7:35 Homeroom
7:45 First period
(then it gets weird for 1-4, none of the classes are the same length, so my english class was always 10 minutes longer than Spanish or something like that)
After 4th is 5th/Lunch: If your 5th is on the bottom floor you have First Lunch, then 5th. If your 5th is on the top floor you have 5th, then Second Lunch. And since all the freshman classes are on the bottom floor, they all have First Lunch. (And 30 min for lunch is not enough to feed 600 people!)
Then 6th and 7th, school gets out a 2:20.

I loved last year because I had 4th period English (cake class), then lunch, then a study hall, then USH. So I basically had lke 3 and a half hours of cake.

Monday and Friday we have 50 min classes. 0 period to 2nd period then brunch, then 3rd and 4th, after that is lunch. Then it's 5-7 period.

On Tuesday we have what's called a tutorial schedule, where the classes are shorter but a 30min period have been divided out so you can go see your teacher about make up stuff or questions.

Wed/Thurs is what we called Block day. Wed is even classes and Thurs is odd. Each class is 90 min long, which is good cuz then you get time for you lab and also you can get to put off some homework if you felt like it, lol.

Go here to see the complete schedule:
http://www.la.mvla.net/GenInfo/bellschd.htm

bsktballfrk220,you have BRUNCH time? wow.

school starts at 7:35, about 45 min classes, 8 classes total. ends at 3.
wed/thurs we have block days...wed : odd number classes for 1.5 hrs, thurs: even number for 1.5 hours.

First bell at 7:45, first period/late bell at 7:55. There are 9 periods in a day, each lasting about 40 minutes, with 4 minute in between each class. School ends at 2:32. There aren't any special periods for lunch, but, obviously, the first couple periods of the day aren't lunch periods, and neither is 9th for whatever reason (I guess so people don't leave and not come back).

I wish my school had a crazier schedule. It would make the days a lot more interesting.

yeah those schedules are insane!
i have 9 class periods per day, the 1st one is 45 minutes, the rest are 41 minutes with 3 minutes between bells. lunch is either 5,6, or 7th period. there's no homeroom. classes go from 7:45-2:22

Yea, brunch as in a little break time between classes. Also called recess, lol.

9 classes? That's just crazy...I have what, 6/7 and I can hardly take it, lol. Man you guys are good...

You guys all have such complicated schedules!! I just have 8x40min lessons per day, every day. Also, we have none of the weekA/weekB complicated stuff, you just have one timetable and your weekly lessons will be like that all the time, for the whole year. Sometimes you have free periods, it varies from year to year, for example in first form you have 4 per week, in 3rd you have 0, and now in lower 6th I have 9 per week! yay!
For me:
8.40: Registration
8.45: Assembly
9.00: P1
9.40: P2
10.20: Morning Break
10.40: P3
11.20: P4
12.00: Lunch
12.55: P5
1.35: P6
2.15: Afternoon break and registration
2.30: P7
3.10: P8
3.50: Get bags etc
4.00: Home time!!

Ok some wierd schedules here, no school weds, brunch, assembly, 9classes. I find mine easy. there are two odd days and 2 even days and one common day

odd
1st period-7;25
Lunch1
3rd period
lunch 2
5thperiod
Go home 2;30

even days 2-6, common days 1-6

These schedules are ridiculous. My high school had and still has this simple schedule. I guess they figure as Alabamians anything complicated would be too hard for us to understand....and they may be on to something.

1st Block: 8:00 - 9:37
Break 9:37 - 9:49
2nd Block 9:49 - 11:25
3rd Block 11:30 - 1:34
A lunch 11:30 - 12:01
B lunch 12:01 - 12:32
C lunch 12:32 - 1:03
D lunch 1:03 - 1:34
4th Block 1:34 - 3:15

Repeat every day all year long! No alterations (unless there's an assembly or pep rally and I dont remember what's changed - probably no break and five minutes shaved off each block).

wow some of you have weird bell schedules. mine's pretty straight forward. if you have 0 period you start at 7. most everyone starts at 7:55 for 1st period and then 7th period gets out at 2. some of us have 8th period getting out at 3. our passing periods are like 7 minutes but that's because a lot of us have to cross the street. our school has main campus and north campus. the only weird thing about our bell schedule is sometimes extra warning bells go off or something weird like that.
