What kind of bell schedule do you have at your school

I love my school schedule at my Magnet IB school, instead of my crappy public one. I'm only at my "home" school a couple minutes every other day for 50 days.

We're split up into A,B days. We take different classes on each. More time to do homework.

A/B
Block 1 8:00-9:30
Block 2 9:30-11:00
Lunch 11-11:30
Block 3 11:30-1:00
Block 4 1:00-2:30
Block 5 2:30-4:00

Our school's blcoks are split into letters:
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H
There are A days through H days.
On an A day, you start with A block and end with G block, dropping H.
The following day is then an H day, and you begin with H block, and go through until F block.

After 2 blocks we have a 15 minutes break except on tuesdays and thursdays which is long break, 30 minutes.

2 more blocks and then we have lunch. There are 2 lunch sessions and your session depends on which of the houses you are in. We have about 20 minutes to eat per session.

The point is basically so that every rotation, each class is dropped/taken first/taken last.

Wow my school just has a simple A/B Day Scheduling. Freshmen year we had 8 classes, 4 a day. However sophomore year it was changed to only 7 classes. 4 each day.

A Day
First Period
Second Period
Third Period and Lunch
Fourth Period

B Day
Fifth Period
Second Period
Sixth Period and Lunch
Seventh Period

Pretty simple. The second period allows for classes like SGA Leadership and Yearbook to meet everyday for 45 minutes. While classes that require more instructional time meet every other day at 90 minutes.

Wow. Ours is just nine periods, with 2 periods for lunch (6th or 7th) for separate groups of high schoolers.

Wow, you all seem to have terribly complicated schedules! My school is relatively simple: The classes are arranged slightly strangely, but that is only because we have a week 1 and a week 2 and each day is numbered 1 to 10: So, for example my longest period on thursday in week 1 is PE, and the same period in week 2 is RE (Body, Mind and Spirit). It confused me at first, but now i like it becuase it gives some variety. We have about a 5 minutie break in between everything and a bell rings 5 mins before the start of the day, before the end of recess and the end of lunch.
Tomorrow for example it is Day 6, week 2 and my time table is as follows:
Day 6

Roll Call 8:30 Roll Call
Period 1 8:40 English
Period 2 10:00 Mathematics
Recess 10:45
House Period 11:10
Period 3 11:50 Body Mind & Spirit
Lunch 1:10
Period 4 2:00 Biology
Home time: 3:30

NOTE: house period is like homeroom, some days we are in our home room classes, sometimes it is school assembly, sometimes eucharist (my school is Anglican), ans sometimes we have a house meeting (we are divided into houses (for sports carnivals etc)and our homeroom class is all the people in our year in our house)

BUT on Tuesday it is:
Day 7

Roll Call 8:30 Roll Call
Period 1 8:40 Mathematics
Period 2 10:00 French
Recess 10:45
House Period 11:10 School Assembly
Period 3 11:50 Software Design
Lunch 1:10
Period 4 2:00 Humanities (International studies, History and Geography all in the one)
Home time: 3.30

After school on tuesdays is sport training and on Thurdays we have our games which start halfway through lunch, so we have no classes on thursdays. Plus, for extra-curriculars i,e Clubs, orchestras, music elssons, chiors etc they are all scheduled into the day, either at lunch after/before school or during period 2 some days. And on fridays period four is divided into two periods.

Oh, BTW i am in Australia so thats why i have school tomorrow (sigh).
It is interesting, unlike in America where it seems each county has guidlines for its governement schools schedules. Each school creates their own schedules so every school is dramtically different around when they start and end etc. But, nearly all school have 2-30 mins for recess and 1 hour for lunch, which is VERY nice.LOL. After writing all this it seems much more complicated, but it doesnt seem so.sorry for the long post.

Wow, mine is 45 minute per class including lunch. 9 classes a day.

The only thing that changes is your electives.. lol

A NORMAL one, that goes 1st period, 2nd period, 3rd, period etc., up to 8th period.

^ Yeha, yours is much less complicated, but some of htese seem mabye a little over complicated? is that even possible? anyway, regardless it is really interesting to see all the different bell times, the length of class etc. Mine ar every long, but some of these seem quite short (45mins or so?)

We have "block schedule" so our classes meet every other day on a four day rotation.

Block 1: 7:49-9:14
Block 2: 9:19-10:43
Block 3: 10:47-12:46 (lunch periods are randomly inside this class, so you can have lunch partway-through band practice or a SS test)
Block 4: 12:51-2:16
Optional Block 5 (free period): till 3:00
