Hello. I’m a junior and I’m struggling to decided between majoring in nursing or psychology. I find psychology much, much more interesting and easy to understand compared to nursing, however I’m worried there’s no outlook or career opportunities. Is this true? What kind of careers can you get with a bachelors in this. Thanks!
I have a BA in psych and I’m a tax return preparer who makes house calls.
My H went to law school and says that his psych background has been very helpful in dealing with clients and adversaries over the years.
You could do psychiatric nursing. You will study a lot of psychology to do so, do a job that overlaps a lot with psychologists and social workers, while being able to find a good job and make a decent living.
Actually, re @NorthernMom61 's comment, one of the other attorneys I work with at my current firm was a psychiatric nurse before changing paths and going to law school.
