I'm a senior taking 5 AP/H and wanted to know if the UC's weight your senior gpa when determining if you are still eligible (you know the whole keep it above 3.0) and is a 3.5 high enough
thanks

bump please

most schools weight grades in their own way.

They take out gym, health etc and do their own formula.

Just dont slack too much

Unfortunately, the UC system only counts the classes you took in 10th and 11th grade for GPA calculation. Classes taken in 9th and 12th grade are used to fulfill the a-g requirement.

The minimum GPA for UC is 2.8, not 3.0

A weighted GPA of 3.5 is a problem. To my knowledge, the lowest campus' (UCR) average GPA is like 3.6.

Do you have amazing SATs, ECs, unusual circumstance in life or URM? Those may compensate your weak GPA.

Good luck.

if you are a borderline candidate, a campus may request first semster of senior grades....however, please not that bonus points for eligibility are capped at 8 semesters worth, so if you've already used up your bonus points, you uw senior grades will be included in the gpa calc. Or, you can become eligible thru testing -- 3450+ on all five tests.
