What major should I apply for at USC?

Hello all, I will be a rising senior and will be applying to USC. However, I want to go on the pre-physical therapy track but do not know what major I should compliment it with. I was thinking about majoring in occupational therapy since they are similar but I am not sure. Any advice helps. Thanks!

Many Pre-PT students will major in Exercise Science or Kinesiology. I do not see those options for USC but Occupational therapy is a good option since the program would cover the courses needed to apply for the DPT program and is a good backup major if you do not get into PT school. Any major especially in the sciences that covers the PT course requirements to apply should be fine. Global health studies might be another option.

Hello, thank you for the advice. I will definitely look into that.

Major in something you like and are good at, because you need a high GPA to be accepted to DPT schools. APTA says the most common undergrad majors are exercise science, biology, kinesiology, and psychology.
