I am trying to become a neurosurgeon and am trying to get into UC Davis. My stats are above average for UC Davis and I have a high shot. I will apply to medical school in the future but I do not know whether to do Neurobiology for pre-med or do Biomedical sciences. any help will be appreciated.

I have a friend of mine who did her pre-med at UC Davis. You can apply for any school you want, however you need to make sure you do well in it because you need to take the big MCAT test and do well on it. If your considering to become a neurosurgeon, you should know that it takes around 15-20 years before you actually become a neurosurgeon. I would say, take pre-med and then go to med school. If your interested in becoming a surgeon, I recommend being a plastic surgeon. A plastic surgeon is probably the only surgeon that gets to schedule his or her surgeries and the pay is really nice as well.
