<p>I want to double major at Yale, but there is only space to pick one. Should I pick the one that aligns best with my activities, or the one that I may want to comment on in my Why Yale? I like them both the same.</p>
<p>The major you put on your application is simply for the adcoms to have a general picture of your interests. You enter college undeclared and you have 2 years to decide. You shouldn’t stress out about the one you put on your app.</p>
<p>Okay. They won’t think it’s weird if I list one but then comment on another in my Why Yale, right? </p>
<p>I’m just irrationally stressing over every little detail right now, lol.</p>
<p>I mean, if you like them both the same and you comment on one explicitly in the Why Yale response, you might as well put that one in the slot. They don’t expect your major to match your activities necessarily; all of my major activities were music and my main interests were science-related.</p>
