What Major would Genetics be in?

Hi there!

I’m a rising senior trying to pick a major. I am passionate about genetics and I want to pursue that as an undergraduate, along with technology (such as Comp Science and engineering). Here’s my predicament. What major would genetics fall under? Would it be in biomedical engineering, which would be in the engineering section of a college, or under biology, which is part of an arts and sciences section?

Any sort of clarification on the matter would be much appreciated!

Genetics is usually found under Biology or specifically Molecular or Cell Biology.

It’s often under Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or Biotechnology - just depends on the school.
