I would just take regular calculus, but my school only offers AP. So I can choose between AP Calculus, AP Stats, or some other random semester-long courses. I want to take AP Calc because let's face it, it looks better on college applications, and because I'll need it for my future major. The other half of me wants to take AP Stats because it will be easier. I don't want to take one of the random semester-long courses because that will just look bad after 2 years of honors math classes (I would've taken all 4 years of honors but my school didn't have honors geometry or precalc.) At the same time, just looking at the summer assignment for AP Calc stresses me out because it's so difficult-- and that's the material we test on the third day of school. I've never been good at math and it has always been a struggle.

I should mention that I'm transferring from another school district, and this new school doesn't follow the same curriculum my old school did. A lot of the material on the summer assignment I've never even seen before. My old school's version of precalc must be different then this new one's. I'm also unaware of the difficulty of the teacher because I'm unfamiliar with the school, which makes my decision a bit more difficult.

That being said, which class should I take?
