What matters more: the AP score or the class grade?

I received a 5 on the AP Euro this year (2014-15), but only an A- in the respective European History class (not technically an AP class, but its supposed to provide enough preparation for the exam) at my school. What would colleges consider more?

Oh please. There are people who get a 5 on AP exams and have a C or worse in the class, like me (Ivy grad) and my son (top engineering school).

An A- is meaningless except for the tiny dip in GPA.

Hmmm… I see. Thanks for the input!
