Should I drop AP European History? PLEASE HELP!!

Hello everyone, I'm a senior struggling in my European History class. It's one of the most difficult courses in my school, and two weeks ago I finally managed to raise my grade from a D (which I've had all year long) to a C. This is the 2nd C I'll be getting in high school. Last year I received all A's, except for one C in AP Chemistry.

I'm doing better in the class now, but it's still pretty difficult. Finals are next week and I doubt I'll do well enough on the exam to pull my C to a B. It breaks my heart, haha. I'll also probably be receiving one or two B's by the end of the semester (one in AP Computer Science, and maybe one in AP Literature).

I don't think my transcript will look too great with one or two B's and a C. :/
Should I drop out of European History? If not, should I explain to colleges why I made that C if they ask about it? Will a lot of colleges look at first semester grades for senior year? The class is challenging, especially by the way my teacher runs it, and I also have to focus on 4 other AP classes, scholarship/college applications, band, and two medical internships, so it's a little hard for me to find a lot of time to study...

Sorry for asking so many questions! I also realize that I'm probably asking this question in the wrong forum, but no one else was answering in the other forum. I apologize, and please bear with me! I'm getting kind of desperate, haha.
All help is appreciated, thank you!! :D

Your question is slightly complicated to answer considering you have so many

To start off, have you made an effort in trying to increase your grades? I don’t mean when it comes to homework or tests, but have you asked the teacher for help or advice? Are you studying properly?

You are right, a C definitely won’t look good on a college application. Do you know how badly it will affect your GPA? Try to raise that mark as much as you can before the second semester starts. Tell your teacher you are really interested but you just can’t seem to be able to understand it, ask him/her if he/she could give you some extra credit to do.

Most colleges do take your first semester of senior year into account, the Ivy Leagues (and other “top” schools) are often said to take them into consideration more than other schools.

If you are applying to the Ivy Leagues, giving them excuses as to why you got a bad grade wont help. In fact, that applies to most schools. There are many students who are able to handle 6 AP’s, varsity sports, some type of instrument, community service and other EC’s. (my friend for example). Colleges will tell you to suck it up and that it is your responsibility to find the time. Sorry if that sounds rude, but they will not pity you.

I hate to be one of those people who tells you “only you can know” but in this case, I am going to have to. Talk to your class teacher and guidance counselor and ask for their opinions. If you think you wont be able to handle it then drop out.

You should really stick it out and stay in the class.
