Okay, so I was accepted ED to Cornell. They sent me the letter giving me the R.S.V.P coupon, and I mailed them my for $400 deposit, which secured my spot in the class. In agreeing to the Early Decision requirement, I have withdrawn from all the other schools I sent applications to. But what now? Do I still need my mid-year report sent to Cornell? Should I be worried about my first/second semester grades?

I think you still have to send in your mid-year report...second semester I think your grades can slip a little but don't like...fail any classes.

Btw, I like your username.

Do they look at second semester???

plz say no....

U have to say no... PLEASE!!!

If you do a lot worse in your second semester senior year than previously (what they accepted you for) they can kill your spot. However, I think this would only happen if you failed every class you had, because I've never heard anyone being rejected like this after being accepted.

You guys need to relax, you're not going to have your admissions rescinded unless your grades are awful. By awful I don't mean straight B's, I mean D's and F's across the board. Some people here are in serious need of a chill pill, which can be administered in liquid form (ie Bud Light).

hey i dont need a chill pill! i was just asking--well commenting. i kno a kid whose spot was taken away from Columbia last year for Cs

Cornell seriously doesn't care. The lady at admissions didn't even know what I was talking about when I mentioned the word rescinded. It like never happens at Cornell.

ok thats good... i wasnt planning to work at all anyways--in fact ive slacked off through 4 years of high school so im not too worried

Spanks...are u sure abt what u said...i mean i was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited that i got thru Cornell and Cambridge Univ that i forgot to study for my Mid yr Report...

I wouldn't present something false as factual information.

i'm not denyin ur credibility...cmmn spanks u must understand that it would be awfult to get ur adission rescinded...i already rejected Cambridge so if Cornell rescinds my offer I'M DEAD!!! i hope u understand...

Arjun, how bad are your grades going to be? I know you have a tendency to over-react to things. Seriously, I'm positive you will not have your admissions rescinded from Cornell.

A minuses in everything

slits wrists

Down the road, not across the street

I'm awful...:)

haha, I've seen this website before.
