What positive did TK do while here?

<p>Aside from adding some new facilities here and there, he really did nothing during his time here.</p>

<ul>
<li>The gap between UF and FSU grew</li>
<li>The FSU COE is still conjoined with FAMU</li>
<li>The COM failed to produce research in the last 10 years</li>
<li>FSU Foundation LOST money while he was here (even after accounting for inflation and malinvestents stemming from the recession)</li>
<li>Bad PR from academic/cheating/etc. scandals</li>
<li>The Chiropractor School fiasco which, if successful, would have made FSU a national academic laughingstock</li>
</ul>

<p>He might just be the worst president in the history of the university, bar-none. As much as I love this new Barron guy, he's unfortunately left with a huge mess to clean up. That said, I'm eager to see what the next 5-10 years bring out of his administration. I've got very high hopes.</p>

<p>Maybe FSU will be better off not having politicians like President TK and Board Chair Jim Smith running the show anymore. Too much politics and not enough academia may have worked against FSU during their tenures.</p>
