Deadlines are approaching, and I need some help deciding among these three choices…

UMKC 6 Year BA/MD Program
-No MCAT/ Seems hard to fail out if you try.

Miami Dual Admissions Program with U of Cincinnati Medical School (8 Years)
-Need 27 MCAT,Need 3.45 Sci. GPA/3.4 cumulative

SLU Medical Scholars (8 years)
-Must sit for MCAT (No min. score required), Need 3.5 Sci. GPA/ 3.5 cumulative

One more thing, cost isn’t really a factor in my decision. I’m trying to decide which program is the best, despite the money. Any input would be great. Thanks guys.

I would say umkc since it's 6 years (in the interest of saving money + time), but since you don't really care about cost, go with miami; slu isn't as great

Umm, search this forum about UMKC, I've heard many a horror story. Everything from their undergrad school and medical school losing accreditation to their medical school skipping cadaver dissection in the interest of saving time.

You might think that 2 years is massive, but in the grand scheme of things, 2 years is irrelevant. If you wish to become a successful physicians matching into a residency in fields such as surgery, anesthesia, etc, then think twice about umkc.

hm, interesting. I wanted to apply to umkc, but I lacked the required one credit of fine art so I'm glad I didn't.

talk to miami dap her. her daughter is in that program.she might be apple to help you.

My D. loves it there at Miami DAP (Oxford, OH). The major reason that she went there was that she did not want to be in accelerated program (NEOUCOM) and she did not want to stay at home at U. of Toledo (no MCAT). She has been very happy with with her choice. However, the program specifically prohibits to spend less than 4 or 5 (engineering) years in undergrad. So, it depends what you are looking for.
