I haven't seen one of these threads yet, and I was curious, so I thought I'd go ahead and make one. For me it was Southern Methodist Univ.

Brandeis. . .

u maryland college park

why'd you have to make this thread? This thread wasn't here because we didn't have any of those parents that like to brag about their kids. We're better than this.

Following your logic, one might think that "we" are better than giving angry replies to a viable thread. Had I known that my curiosity would lead to animosity, I would have withheld my questions. Sorry.

Actually, I find the question helpful because I am trying to learn where all the colleges rank with the students who are making the choices. I find that more helpful than US News etc...

How is this bragging? NO bragging intention.

I submit. In here, it's not bragging because it's being led by students. But if you check out other college's boards, these threads are full of ridiculous people not only listing what other schools they were accepted into, which is fine, but they also list the scholarships they receive and how much money they were offered at other places. It just gets really annoying, as it is usually a bunch of bragging parents. However, just listing what schools you turned down is nothing to complain about. I apologize to KyleTX, as I thought this thread was heading down a dark road. I hope to see you all in the fall at Wake.

Wake has so much more to offer than any of those schools, regardless of reputation

i thought tcnj was really hot this year, 98% who apply get into med school.
i don't understand how wake is better than princeton. u must have your reasons.

i live in nj too. which high school did u go to. what made you want to go to wake? i turned down several good schools too. i lost my confidence after i applied as a freshmen because my guidance counselor's substitute really, really messed me up. but when i applied as a transfer and got into every school i applied to. so now my mom is ****ed i could have applied to better schools. but then you believe wake is great.

why do u think wake is better?

I'm going to be a senior in NJ. I'm applying to Wake and TCNJ amongst othere. Money will probably end up being a factor
