Foothill College: 42 quarter units

pretty hectic schedule between the two schools. I’m guessing you are taking Anthro 2a Cultural not 2b Patterns of Culture. I’d personally recommend you take both Anthro 8 Intro to Archeology with 11B Archaeology Survey - 2 units on Friday with Connell for full recognition plus is fun and educational. If you already took a sequence history class at Chabot you really shouldn’t take a US, western civ, world class at Foothill. On the other hand if you are planning on taking Hist 16 Intro to Ancient Rome at Foothill, deff do that!

You can most likely get into any of the UC’s if plan right and do well enough. I wouldn’t pick based on the UC but based on the programs offering of classes in relation to your interests and goals. Do you like quarter or semester system more do you think? Preference of location and vibe (SC vs I for example). I personally like UCSB’s program and think SC’s is pretty cool but has a different feel to it. UCSD’s seems quite good and Cal’s and LA’s are solid of course. You just need around a 3.3 GPA to get in to any of the UC’s classics departments.

Thanks for the advice about the classes… None of the planned courses are for sure I just didn’t know which ones to choose on the transfer update form.

I am really digging the quarter system its fast and quick, but I learn better in shorter amounts of time. I’m really interested in UC Irvine. What do you think my chances are there?

Can you give us a sub total? How many units did you complete by the end of Fall 2010? What is your GPA by the end of Fall?

I have finished 22 semester units by the fall of 2010 and 8 quarter units.
Chabot GPA: 3.2
Foothill GPA: 2.6( but remaking the one class that I failed right now)

Chabot spring 2011: 17 units
Foothill winter and spring 2011: 34 quarter units
