Hi, I am new to this forum. I am a CCC student will be transfering in a year or so. My GPA will be 3.5 with 84 transferable units.

My EC's are
President of Asian Club and ICC rep
Vice President of Phi Beta Lambda and ICC rep
ASB senator
2nd place in a Marketing Competition
Business and Technology Committee - student rep
Alpha Gamma Sigma member
Dean's Honor

I was wondering what schools do I have a shot with a GPA of 3.5.

Any thoughts, comments, insights would be appreciated.

Being the prez of the AzN might help at some UC'S!

BU School of Management would probably be a good shot.

wat is a CCC? Cali CC?

yo you've got a good shot at anderson undergrad. ucla. biz econ. do it. do it.

thanks for all the comments, i honestly don't know what I have a chance with or should aim for with my gpa.

bump, anymore suggestions?

what schools are you looking at?

I would like to goto a good school. I have no problems with going out of state if possible, but I don't think my 3.5gpa is very good. So I'm not sure what schools I should be looking at.

You have a very good shot at all the UCs with business programs (not sure which of them do...I'm just saying given your grades). All except Haas at UC Berkeley which would be a reach.

only UCR and UCB have full fledged business programs... UCR, you're in for sure. Haas, probably not. You can probably get into every UC other than Cal and UCLA, though you have a good shot at LA (biz-econ) if you finished all ur pre reqs.

Yeah, if you'd be willing to do econ, you'd have a lot more options. Perhaps, you can apply to some UCs as econ and the business schools of UCR and UCB.

Also try to do your schools honors program since you still have a year left before transfering. It'd help a lot.

thanks for all the replies, is there a maximum unit transfer? because if i do the honors program, i will have close to 100 transferable units and also would economics at berkeley be in reach with my current stats?

I think your gpa is competitive for econ at Cal. Though I believe the true determinant of your competitivess, is what prereqs you have taken and what grades you earned in them.

USC Marshall is also quite possible for you if you want to consider a private school..

by the time i transfer, i will have the prereq for cal econ and ucla biz econ. so far none of my prereq grades are under a B.

right now im thinking about apply to cal/ucla/usc

excellent choices. keep up your GPA and you will be a competitive applicant for all 3
