What Schools Would be a Good Fit?

I am a current junior in hs (female) and feel lost when it comes to my college search. I have ~4.5 WGPA and a 1400 SAT with plenty of EC’s that show leadership and that include service activities.

Some things I am looking for in a college:
East coast (preferable/not against looking other places- definitely not interesting in schools in the deep south)
15,000-20,000 MAX students
Spirited students/sports culture (students support schools sports teams and love their school)
Near a city/suburban campus
Social scene (I do not want/need a huge party school but would like a social scene) ****for those not involved in Greek life
Selective school and/or Honors program

Schools I am currently interested in:
BC (have heard that freshman/underclassman are not able to find much of a social scene)
UVA (large Greek life)
Providence (not as selective as preferred)
UNC (large Greek life)
Villanova (similar issue as BC)
***I do not have an issue with a prevalent Greek life but want to make sure that those not involved are also able to find a social scene

I am also looking for match/safe schools! If anyone has any ideas of schools that would seem to fit what I am looking for/has different info about the social scenes of the schools listed (particularly for freshman/underclassman) please let me know!

Hi again, forgot to mention that I am interested in business/finance and am unsure of my UWGPA but it is no lower than a 3.95.

Lehigh? Lafayette?

Syracuse?

Why do you prefer a more selective school? You do realize the more selective the school, the harder the chances of getting merit aid…not to mention getting in.

How much can your parents afford to pay a year?

UVA and UNC are going to be EXTREMELY difficult to get into for a student with the BEST stats.
Villanova is not exactly near a big city, although their business school is good.

Look at University of Delaware, Hofstra, UPitt, St. John’s (Queens). All good social scenes and probably better matches for you.

yes- these are all reach schools but I was just trying to give an idea of schools that I was interested in!
