What senior grades do colleges look at?

My school is on the trimester system. I’ve already sent in my first trimester grades to the colleges I’m applying to. However, 2nd trimester is ending in less than a month, and my grades are not doing so well. I’m not getting any Cs or below, but my grades are still significantly lower than what they were first trimester. (I am trying to bring them up though.) Do colleges look at second trimester grades?
Thanks

No, you don’t have to send second trimester grades and they won’t consider it as part of the admissions process. However, they can rescind their offer if you perform badly, when you send your final transcript this summer.

If you don’t have any Cs or below, you won’t really have to worry about your offer getting rescinded.

Do make sure your counselor’s office doesn’t automatically send grade reports even if you don’t request it. Ours sends reports to all schools you sent transcripts to whether you want them to or not…

It could also depend on the college you’re going to. I’m going to a second tier large state school where I could probably get C’s and D’s on all my classes without being rescinded. The only reasons to be worried about being rescinded is

  1. You're applying somewhere that's very competitive
  2. You're applying to a school in California.

Most state schools (ex. Arizona, Kentucky, Ohio State etc.) hate rescinding applications.
