Hi. I'm dual US citizen attending high school in Poland. I'm about to tell my counsellor to prepare HS profile for me, but I'm still not sure what should I include in it. The thing is, that I don't have extraordinary average of grades here. That's because my HS is very competitive. After graduation every student of HS writes national exam in 3-5 chosen subjects (extended level of those subjects). Should my counsellor include that information about average % scores on that exams? e.g National average of extended math exam is 55%, but my school's average is 80%. That is also true for any other subjects.
Should my counsellor provide information about selectivity? (After middle school we have national exams and the admission process is based on their scores)
My school is ranked 19th in Poland and 5th in terms of those national exams. Is that something that should also be included?

What are some other things worth mentioning to show those admission counsellors at universities that even tough I don't have such a great GPA I've been challenging myself in HS? I could have gone to the local HS and have straight ,,A's'' there, but that's not the deal, right?

If you are using the common app, when you invite your counselor through your application account, he or she will get an email with a link allowing him to create a counselor account. Once you assign him to a school, he will have access to the form that includes the questions about your school for him to complete. The questions include information about the range of GPAs at your school, the highest actual GPA in your class, the courses offered, and other things that provide context for your transcript.

Thank you. I know that my counsellor will get that form to fill out once I invite her, but I also know that she can upload HS profile in pdf format into common app. I’d really like her to do that, because I want to show admission officers at universities as much context about my school as possible. That’s because those people in admission offices usually tend to convert international grades into US scale grades. I’m sure that my average is not going to be very high when converted into US GPA due to the fact that those converters are not really accurate most of the time. e.g they convert 6 and 5 (best grades in here) to A. In my school maybe one out of 20 students has average of A’s when converted into US system.

What are some informations besides those average GPA’s etc that my counsellor can upload to really show that my school is very competitive?

bump anyone please
