Hello,

So I made a post here before about chances of getting in schools 2 years ago. Ended up in UCSB. Then I made a post about whether to do computer science or computation economics. Well now I think I've hit a dead end and need some advice.

I'm asking here rather than to my advisors because it seems like they don't care much and would just like to get the lines of students over with. So anyway, I'm feeling pretty down about the path I've taken and now I'm unsure of what to do with my life now. I came to UCSB as an Econ major, than decided to change majors to statistical science so I can pick up some reserved comp sci classes easily. (I decided I was going to try comp sci because of my brother). Well a year and a half later, I've finished most of my GEs, 3 comp sci classes and 4 math classes. To be in the premajor, a B or better is required (first take only) in the comp sci classes and a C in the math classes. Well I've got the math classes down but I think I'm going to get a B- in my last comp sci class. This B- is about to make me waste 2 years of money and my life at a UC. I would change back to Econ but I took a required Econ class as P/NP for fun and definitely got a C+ if it were to ever change back to a letter grade. (A 2.75 is required to be in the major and i don't think I want to risk wasting another 2 years of my life again trying to get in another major again). My current GPA is a 3.4.

It might not seem like a big deal to some but it's definitely making me feel stressed and bad about myself. I want to take a quarter off during spring to think about what to do with my life now but I know that's not going to happen. I'm not even sure what classes to take next quarter, I signed up for physics, comp sci, and math but there's no point if I'm not in the major.
I want to transfer schools to maybe csuPomona or csu long beach if it means me being able to get in the major automatically. Than id be able to continue comp sci there. Even if I did waste a alot more money already here, I feel like doing comp sci there would be better than doing something like history here. However, I'm not sure how transferring works and I think I'm too late to transfer my junior year. I don't want to waste another quarter's worth of money here taking GEs if I'm going to transfer out.

Thanks for reading.
