Im sorry to post 2 same topic in different section. im so ambivalent right now. I took TOEFL on January and got a low score. I plan to retake it but I didnt do well on SAT november. I already register for SAT 2 December and I dont want to change that. Now I have to decide between taking the ACT and retaking TOEFL. What should I do? plz give me advice. ACT score may make up for my SAT November but what about my TOEFL. My listening was 23, Speaking 20, I think my R and W in ACT can make for that either

Different colleges have different required TOEFL scores, same with SAT. If you go by what people on cc post, a 1800 SAT is low, but it's actually a very good score; the national average is something like 1500. Look at what the TOEFL requirements of the colleges you're applying to are, and the 25-75% SAT ranges, and then decide. If you haven't already, get the red Real ACT book and take one of the tests under actual test conditions. That will give you a good idea of what your ACT score will be and you can compare that score with your SAT to see what test you do better on. Then use that information to help you make your decision. Good luck.
