I'm in 8th grade, but I want to be proactive about getting into a good college. I want to be a computer engineer when i grow up, so getting into a good college is important. I'm getting A's and B's but if i apply myself i think i can get straight A's, except for spanish (i hate spanish, how important is it to colleges?). I have a dual citizenship in Germany and the U.S., and have been to Gurthe institutes twice. I go to a summer camp that works with special children that i can get volenteer hours for too. I go to Flintridge Prep, and am very fast, and will probably go into varsity cross country/track in high school when im a sophmore or even freshman. Im very good with technology as well. I taught myself how to build a computer when i was 12 and have been toying with them and phones, laptops, etc as well as taking an interest with cars (formula 1), so im advanced in technology as a whole. Im prepared to take drastic steps to make sure my future is bright, but i need some suggestions.

Just focus on getting good grades for now…

lol, if u wanna go to Stanford, u gotta be amazing, and being amazing may not get you in either. For schools of stanford’s caliber, u just gotta apply and hope for the best, you never low.
To be a competitive applicant however U need
3.8+ UW GPA 4.3+ W
2200+ SATs
750+ on 3 SAT II’s
Amazing Recs, Amazing Essays
Awards, Recognitions (The More the Better)
Focus on maybe 3-4 EC’s that u show passion towards (best if it is related to ur major)
U dont have to do everything, be gud and do a lot of a few things.
Good luck in the future!!!
