What should I do? UCB from DNZA or SJSU

So I basically messed up my sophomore and junior year. I’m a senior now and I am looking at what choices I have. I want to do computer science. I have a 2.8 9-12 UW gpa and a 2100+ SAT. I am also taking sat 2 for math and bio this November. I have narrowed my options down to two things. SJSU or De Anza and then UC Berkeley. I really wanted to go to cal but I obviously can’t now. I am thinking of doing De Anza because it is really close to where I live and I have already done some courses through concurrent enrolment. What are thoughts/ opinions??? Thanks

Some additional info:

I don’t really want to got to SJSU because of UCB prestige and name.
I plan to get a 4.0 senior year and for the rest of De Anza.
I am also planning to intern after getting out of High School.
I have reviewed all the courses required to get into UCB and I can clear alot of those.

Does UCB care about your HS past if your transferring in? I think my horrible HS grades will affect me negatively. And do they care about SAT at all at that point either?

Is it possible to get into UCB after going to De Anza for only one year?
I think I can clear everything by 2016 Summer because I am actively taking courses at De Anza and Foothill as concurrent enrollment. What are my chances?

Also is it worth doing the extra course work for EECS? I was thinking about it, and since many of the courses are offered at scattered CC’s, I don’t think I want to do the extra effort.

I am also retaking the SAT and plan to score 2200+.

Thanks

Thanks I didn’t know about that

Don’t get too cocky about admission to SJSU CS. Calculate your CSU eligibility index by multiplying your UC/CSU GPA by 800 and adding your best SAT-CR and your best SAT-M. http://info.sjsu.edu/static/admission/impaction.html indicates that SJSU’s threshold for frosh admission to CS has been in the range of 4000 to 4550 in recent years, although the similar software engineering major has had lower thresholds of 3200 to 3600 in recent years.

De Anza is not the optimal CC for course articulation to UCB CS, since it has only partial CS 61B and none of CS 61A, 61C, or 70. Not sure why it seems to be so popular with students aiming of UCB CS or EECS.

Of the nearby ones, West Valley, Evergreen Valley, and Ohlone have full CS 61B articulation.

Further away, Laney has CS 61A, and Diablo Valley has CS 61C (both have CS 61B):

UCs and most CSUs admit transfers at the junior level (60 semester or 90 quarter units).

I plan to take all the UCB CS courses at their summer sessions and I prefer De Anza because of the proximity. But Thanks a lot for the input. If I can complete the amount of units, does it matter if I take less time?
