What should I do? What are my chances?

My GPA: 2.869 after my first semester of college at Loyola. My grades are bellow, I took 18 credits. My major is engineering. I've had the worst experience with physics ever in college. Anyway I'm looking to transfer into either:

The University of Maryland college park
University of Maryland Baltimore county

I know that my chances are very slim for UMD college park, but what are my chances at The university of Maryland Baltimore county. At the moment I really don't know what to do. Not not having a lot of money held me back from attending The University Of Delaware when I applied for freshman admittance when I was in high school. I know that both UMD's will be affordable, but should I have anymore back ups besides the UMD's?
