What should I do with this AP score that's a "2"?

Be careful about canceling your score because if you cancel that score, your world history score will also be canceled from that same May. That is how the CollegeBoard does it. You cannot cancel just one score.. all of them will be erased."

sparkle415, as far as I know, you can cancel just one subject, not necessarily canceling all the scores taken in a year. So AP World History will not be canceled even thouogh he chooses to cancel the econ test.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the way it is..

by the way, how do you quote in this forum? is there any special html tag or something?

Thank you so much for your replies.

I'm a rising junior now, so I took that AP micro

and world history exam during my "sophomore" year.

And I see that everybody is saying that it is better not to report the

AP score, but then, do the colleges see the "grade" that the student got

in the class more importantly than the AP score?

Because believe it or not, I'm aiming for Ivy League colleges (please don't laugh)

what sparkle415 said in post #5 is severely erroneous.

your world history grade will NOT be canceled if you cancel the econ one.

sparkle415 is thinking of the sat ii subject tests. for AP exams, you CAN cancel only one test even if you took another on the same day.

thanks for the big letters

The AP scores are not sent to the colleges!!! At least not when I applied last year!! The only way colleges see your AP scores is if you request to have them sent or list the college down on the information sheet for the AP. Don't worry. I was concerned about this too & to my knowledge I never had them sent, they were never requested& were not used as part of the college admissions process.

( & if AP scores were used ( which i highly doubt) College Board would probably take advantage of the opportunity to charge to have AP scores sent..lol. They prolli make a fortune at 50 bucks for every sat & 10 bucks to send scores after the first four colleges.
