Okay this week I have been thinking majorly about what I am going to do in the future and made kinda alot of threads about it (sorry if you saw them all). Okay I have finally narrowed it down dramatically but still need help. I want to do something dealing with biology. But I don't know specifically what in there please help here are some quick facts about me...

*LOVE plants and stuff
-BUT I really don't know what careers go with this (at least were I could apply)
*Kinda into animals
*LOVE doing research
*I don't think I could handle having people's lifes in my hands (ie be a doctor)
*Kinda don't like seeing the insides of people
-BUT I love how the human body works and want to find out more
*Really good at writing

You sound a bit like me regarding plants and nature.
I know Cornell University has good Ecology programs, including a degree in Botany. You might want to look into that. You could always become a Botanist.

^YES!!! Exactly what I was thinking!! You have like no clue how happy that makes me!!! YES!! Like no joke YES! I just needed someone to tell me that so I wouldn’t feel dumb…,.YES! hahaha I love that! lol :D

Anyway on a less crazy sounding note what should I major in then?

You know that there are doctors whose patients pretty much all live, right?

Like, for instant, orthopedic/hand surgeons. Most people who injure their hands are normally healthy and are not gonna die. The worst thing that happens if you seriously mess up is the person has one f u c k e d up hand. That’s not as big a deal as the person dying… Pediatricians also generally deal with healthy kids–and if the kid has cancer or something the pediatrician isn’t the one dealing with it.

If there’s another reason you don’t wanna be a doctor then that’s fine but I’m just saying don’t completely rule it out because you don’t wanna have the responsibility of peoples’ lives being in your hands.

You could get paid to research plants in some respect. There’s an infinity of ideas one could come up with to research, and being a paid researcher is not a bad job at all.
