What should my SAT aim be for Cal, UCLA, and UCSD?

<p>Just on the academic scale for a high tier major at cal, UCLA, or UCSD, what should I aim for as an SAT score.</p>

<p>As a rising senior, my GPA:
unweighted(9-11): 3.75
Unweighted(10-11): 3.63
UC weighted(10-11): 3.96
weighted uncapped(10-11): 4.3</p>

<p>currently I have a 2250 and I've only taken the SAT once, so I'm retaking no matter what. 680 cr, 780 m, 790 w.
And before telling me I should stop trying because my GPA sucks, do know that I was the first person at my school to take AP chem and physics as a sophomore and junior, respectively. And I had one of the hardest junior year courseloads in my class(definitely in top ten most difficult schedules out of 480).</p>

<p>Your GPA isn’t that low. If i were you i would take the SAT one more time and see if my score improved. if it didn’t there is no reason to keep on taking it because colleges can tell how many times you’ve attempted it (so it would look bad if you tried 5 times). If your score doesn’t improve its really not that big of deal a 2250 is pretty good.</p>

<p>Just getting that CR to 730 would get you a 2300… Go for it!</p>

@student1017 what exactly is a recruit? like, i’m definitely not good at sports, and that’s the only recruits i know of

<p>I knew a kid with a 2070 SAT and an easier course load that got into UCLA last year (not sure about his GPA, probably around yours), so I would think you would be good. The 99th percentile for the SAT is reached before 2100 I think, and the averages for all of those schools is below yours.</p>
