What stats do I need for a presidential scholarship?

I know there is no guarantee but with my current stats I have 4.1 weighted and 3.8 unweighted with 2 APs and all honours (not including senior year). 1450 OR 1500 on SAT

What are my chances of getting a pretty generous merit scholarship from Temple. Based on what you’ve seen, will I be in the running for a presidential scholarship?

@OhAnon Check out the “Temple Honors 2023??” thread. Some accepted students have posted their stats and whether they received the Presidential or Provost scholarship.

From reading the other posts, looks like the difference between President’s and Provost’s were in SAT/ACT scores: 1400’s were Provost’s, 1500+ were President’s, with 3.9+/4.0 scale unweighted GPA for both.

Last March you had an 1170 PSAT and said your goal was a 1500 SAT. Did you actually score 1500 or is that still hypothetical?

This is still hypothetical. I’ve improved but not to the point of scoring a 1450 or a 1500

Not sure if anyone will see this, but I applied through the Temple option (didn’t send standardized test scores) with a 3.8 unweighted GPA and 4.19 weighted GPA, all honors, and 6 AP’s (3 junior year and 3 senior year). I got my acceptance letter yesterday with an invitation to the honors program and the presidential scholarship, so don’t worry too much about your “stats”. Your application is more than just numbers, and there’s no guaranteed formula towards getting the scholarship. I chose to omit my score because it wasn’t a good indication of my abilities or potential (also because I couldn’t finish 75 questions in 45 minutes no matter how hard I tried), so don’t lose hope because of one standardized test score!

Thank you, this has calmed me down a lot. I really want to go to this University but money is a big factor.
