Basically, I've heard a lot from people that one thing a lot of colleges don't like is when someone doen't stick to the core sujects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) all four years in high school. My school considers Micro and Macro as business classes, but I know other schools count it as Social Studies classes (my dad is a history teacher in a neighboring town and they want him to teach AP Econ). So if I take AP Micro or AP Macro, could that cuont as a social studies credit on my apps? Or would it count as a business course since that's what my school considers it as?

Economics is generally regarded as a social science. Considering the colleges you apply to will offer economics as a social science major, they will probably look at it as a social science.

In our school, they're considered social studies classes. Colleges will probably consider them social studies since they deal with the history of business, trusts etc, and it's not really a truly business-only class.
