hey guys, i recently was elected as the director of community service at a really big club at school. now here's the problem. none of the officers do much and everything is mainly done by the teacher who sponsors the club. i however, actually want to do things because a) i love being involved, b) i ACTUALLY care, 3) i'm thinking of running for president next year.

here's the question:

No one ever asks me to do anything and nothing is ever expected of me. I'm completely out of ideas for things i can do. So, anyone have a suggestion of things I can do as the Community Service Director?

Thanks a lot!

Organise something sweet for a retirement home, like the choir of your school arranging a date to go to a retirement home and just being wandering singers throughout the home.

Organise something for an Elementary School on the "other side of the tracks". Like maybe have people donate old things, including school supplies, and then getting in touch with a girl scout group who could arrange the stuff in little baskets or something.

There is a lot of stuff you could arrange. You just have to think of where people have it really bad and then think of something to do to help.

For example, there are still a lot of victims from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita that some folks have almost forgotten about.

peace
your granny merlin

Get involved. Even if the teacher doesn't assign you specifc tasks, ask him/her about what to do, how you can help?

aha man i love you guys! thanks very helpful
