What the Hell Commonapp?

<p>The commonapp says I submitted my app to UChicago on 12/03/2010. Chicago is in the central time zone, I am in the central time zone, and the atomic clock said it was 11:51. There's no way I missed the deadline... is there?</p>

<p>commonapp goes by ET, so technically you missed the deadline but I hear that they might still consider your application</p>

<p>common app stamps it by eastern time, so that’s why the date is 12/03. don’t worry, you’re fine.</p>

<p>the app is due at 11:59 PM jan 2nd uchicago’s time (central) so you made it. but for common app, you submitted it at 12:59 PM jan 3rd. it’s still on time.</p>

<p>Will UChicago see it as 12/02 or 12/03. Both the college and myself were still on 12/02 when I submitted it, but some server timestamped it as 12/03. Will they see the exact time and understand, or just see it as 12/03?</p>

<p>you know I actually submitted the Stanford application late (okay it was one minute late according to ET) and today it said that it was “downloaded” so I’m hopeful</p>

<p>nope, stanford horror stories are no more because they extended the deadline to january 3rd. which is why AstraCastra, you were able to submit yours and they have downloaded it</p>

<p>I’m not that stressed by my UChicago says 1/03/10 even though I’m on Eastern time and I submitted around 11. Also my payment triangle is red even though when I click it it says I payed at 11:58 1/02/10. I guess maybe the server is busy and it’s being slow?</p>
