<p>i just posted a thread about not getting my first& second choice despite the fact that they fit snugly into my schedule and ended up with a third that i didn't want.
brushing all that aside,
i just looked at my schedule, and fws doesn't even fit!</p>
<p>i have lab from 1:25-4:25 p.m., and fws from 2:55-4:10 p.m.
obviously, i'm now going to have to drop the fws, but is it common for the ballot
to ignore both your choices AND schedule in assigning fws?</p>
<p>is the ballot done through peoplesoft scheduling? </p>
<p>i’m not sure how the ballot works but i was always told to put my 4 choices from last to first!</p>
<p>I don’t know if FWS assignment looks at your schedule. But it is your own responsibility to make sure that all the FWSs that you chose will fit in your schedule.</p>
<p>I’ve already heard of some cases in which people got FWS assignments that they never selected.</p>

<p>yeah, a friend of mine mysteriously ended up with a fws that she didn’t even sign up for

guess this is why add/drop exists.</p>

i’m not really complaining that it doesn’t fit since i now have to drop it ;D
i (mistakenly) thought that fws was based on how they fit w/ your schedule.</p>
