A saturday
The only thing that I can think of is that someone (or maybe a computer) felt that it was March 10 in Japan (i.e. on the other side of the international dateline). For example, it is now 4 AM, March 10 in Tokyo.
Ok. I called the admissions office. A small batch of decisions (acceptances, wait-lists, and rejections) were sent out this morning in error. Computer glitch.
The decisions are accurate - i.e. not a Carnegie Mellon story.
Congratulations to all of you! And @heartburner thanks for calling
Thanks for calling and thanks for updating us.
TY for calling
Congratulations to those who have heard. And the good news is that only a small batch have been notified, so there is nothing (positive or negative) to read into this for those who have not been notified.
I wonder how many they actually sent out early by accident? Seems bizarre that 3 people here got them and acceptances onlyâŠ.I get that people are not eager to post unhappy results but still 3 of these kids getting the acceptance email sounds to me like they must have sent a lot out.
Thank you very much @heartburner for making the call. Iâm glad that it was just a small glitch.
CONGRATULATIONS to the three of you that received acceptances this morning! This is extremely exciting!
I received the email at 1:22pm so the noon thing couldnât be right.
@GryffinHunter Different time zone, probably. I hope you were accepted as well!
Wow, congratulations to all who got accepted! Iâm really happy for all of you! Meanwhile I have to wait another 13-14 hoursâŠ
Yes. It was an acceptance email. @thelittleswimmerâ
@GryffinHunter: Congratulations!
Thanks so much. I gasped very loudly. I was suprised that they had been sent early.
@gryffinhunter thatâs amazing!!! is it your first choice?
Congratulations to you, @gryffinhunter! Why is your avatar behind bars?
Just checked email to find a 9th Grade Exeter acceptance notification for son #1.
Wishing everyone the best luck and fine fortune.
Congratulations, @abiriba!
