Good luck to you on all your decisions. This is our fourth child to go to Prep school. I felt very similar to your mom with our oldest. What I will tell you is that everything will work out in the end - whatever school you attend. Your future will be determined by the person you become- not the name of the school on your diploma.

Losing hope very quickly. Itās true that people probably wouldnāt be sharing their rejections here, only acceptances. For those of us that never got an Exeter email, best of luck tomorrow morning but donāt hold your breaths I suppose?

@UIButton congrats! Be grateful, a safety is a safety but it might end up being your only school. I understand not wanting to go to a safety school, itās why itās your safety. Did you apply for ACRONYM schools in the NE area, or hidden gems?

@ccwhiz22 I applied to some of both! I didnāt apply to Deerfield or Hotchkissā¦ I regret not applying to Hotchkiss.

SimpleSimon, the list is getting too long. I suppose you serve the purpose of not letting our hopes get too high. Itās kinda rare that weāre going to be accepted now, but thereās that small sliver of hope.

I am very curious how the batch was organized, probably not geographical. Perhaps alphabetized? Would those who were accepted be willing to share the first Letter of their last name?
Yes, @jdewey, Iām wondering that as well. My kid and I have last names very close to the end of the alphabet around U but not U. My son was not accepted, or at least did not get an email, and I was wondering if anyone else accepted would be willing to share theirs.
Our accepted daughter has a last name beginning with the letter G. Good luck all.
Iāve already accepted my rejection. No point in getting my hopes up that high now. But congrats to everyone that got in! Iām sure lots of hard work and dedication payed off.

@goldenfygg I am as well. Very saddened by the fact that there is still āhopeā. Would rather just call Exeter and have them tell me my decision, but TSAO does not allow that, as we have seen from the lack of acceptances on this board, right?
Hey everyone! Iām a current lower at Exeter, and I just wanted to tell everyone good luck! Also, from what Iāve been reading, it seems like a batch of decision emails already went out todayā¦ Congratulations to those who have been accepted and to those who are still waiting, stay calm! I know how nerve wracking it can be to hear about other peopleās early acceptances, but donāt give up hope!
Also, even if you are waitlisted/rejected tomorrow, donāt see it as the end of your journey. Iām speaking as a person who was waitlisted/rejected from 8 schools my first application cycle and then accepted when I applied again. I love Exeter a lot and I think that I appreciate it so much more considering my rather bumpy application process.
I was actually part of the admission video process as wellā¦ I actually havenāt seen the completed video yet, but I got to do some crazy fun filming for it. The song is a fun one that we arranged for us instrumentalists/singersā¦ Hope you all like it!
