What to bring to your dorm..

<p>Well I'm going to be an incoming freshmen (2011 Fall) I just have a few questions about how strict the dorms really are, as in can I bring a coffee maker or hot plate etc? I know UCLA says they are not permitted but do RA's really care?
I would also like to know what items are ESSENTIAL and what items I should NOT bring. </p>

<p>RAs don’t care really. Just make sure they don’t see it, you don’t set anything on fire, and when they notify you the week of room inspections then hide it in your closet or somewhere that is out of sight.</p>
