What to do about transcript mistake?

My guidance counselor just sent out my midyear report on the Common App, but there was a major mistake on my transcript. It showed a C in AP Calc instead of an A. My teacher had submitted a grade change request but apparently it hadn’t processed by the time my GC sent out the midyear report, so the C still shows. Is there a way that she can upload a new transcript or make a note of this through the Common App? If not, what should I have her do? Send out an email to my regional admissions counselors explaining the mistake? I really don’t want this to reflect badly on me and a C is a big drop from what was supposed to be an A.

Any advice is welcome, thanks.

bump I’d really like some feedback on this.

Have your GC contact the admissions office to correct the mistake

@saif235 should she contact each individual college? Also, should she email to the specific regional admissions officers, or just to the general undergraduate admissions emails? Thank you!

bump any more advice on this?

I’d definitely have your GC handle it. If she emails an updated transcript to each college’s admission office, they’ll add it to your file. If you know the name of your regional rep, there’s no harm in sending it to him or her.

This is easily handled by your GC.

Yes, go to your GC and make sure they have sent an updated transcript
