What to do regarding my major?

Hey guys,
I am super lost right now. My ultimate goal is to get my med degree and be a physician, but for my undergrad I'm really not sure what to do.
You see, I love music. I definitely want to do something with it in college, but I just can't decide what. I also feel as though I should major in something that will actually prepare me for the MCAT/med school acceptance/ med school itself (I've been looking at fields of biology and human health majors at the schools that offer it). Here's what I've been considering:
1) double major in music and whatever else I decide
2) minor in music
3) don't major or minor in music, but still participate in ensembles
Double majoring would be ideal, but I'm not sure if I could handle the work load...I know majoring in music itself is a tremendous amount of work. Minoring would be the obvious choice, but from what I understand music minors aren't eligible for music scholarships. And if I was a non major/ non minor I would feel like my talent has been kind of wasted because I didn't develop it to its full potential. Also, I don't want to only major in music (I know it doesn't matter what you major in to get into med school).
So with that in mind, I would really appreciate any advice! What should I do? Thanks in advance :)

(I also just realized I probably posted this in the wrong category…sorry

1.) No major actually prepares you for med school or the MCAT. (You prep for the MCAT yourself. And there’s NOTHING in undergrad that can prepare your for med school.)

2.) It’s possible to major in music and still go to med school. (My older D has a med school classmate who was music major and a biochem minor.)

You are right, though, music is a very time-consuming major. You’ll need to have excellent time management skills in order to juggle your pre-med ECs and music rehearsals/performances. But it can be done.

why not?

Don’t double major, You may doom yourself GPA wise.

You don’t have to major in something bio or health related. Nothing like that prepares you for med school.

You’ll get what you need from the premed prereqs…the rest is up to you.

Major in something that you like and will do well in…if that’s music, then music it is!!!
