What to do when no school accepts you?

Im a transfer student with and A.A degree but I didn't get accepted anywhere.
What would be the next step that I should take?

What was your community college GPA? What’s your home state? Where did you apply?

If you had a high GPA but didn’t get in anywhere, it’s likely that you applied to places that are competitive for every applicant. If on the other hand, your GPA sucks, you should retake the classes that you did poorly in.

Do you have the option of staying on the school for BA degree?

I live in Florida, and my gpa is on the low side, a 2.5, I can stay and get a B.A degree however the degrees offered at my current school are none that I would like to pursue.

Since I do live in Florida we have the Articulation Agreement, otherwise known as the 2 + 2 program. It states, and I quote, “The 2+2 program guarantees you admission to one of Florida’s 11 state universities, but not necessarily to one of your choice.”

However I was not accepted. I am wondering how this is possible? I did not apply to all 11 of the schools of course, but I did apply to most of the main campuses and their regional schools. I’m really lost now and very scared/worried.

Next time, apply to different, less selective schools that have your intended major.

I think you have to apply to all 11 of those schools. I’ve heard of that agreement, but I’m not positive on how it works. I don’t see how it would work without you applying to all of them.

Contact the schools. Ask them why. Ask them what can you do in order to enroll into the school?

You need to contact the transfer counselor at your current school and have him/her advise you concerning the schools in the Florida system most likely to accept students with your stats. If you are attending a Florida community college this counselor will have helped many students in your situation.

If FL guarantees admission to one of the universities, then yes, you need to go talk to your counselor at the CC to find out how you initiate that process. We have a similar situation in CA for certain high performing high school students and the UC system, but if they don’t get admitted to their choice of UC, it is on the STUDENT to get the ball rolling so he/she is admitted to one of them that does have an opening.
