Okay, this may seem like a stupid question, but I am a bit unsure as to how it works. I know you’re not allowed to bring much of anything with you to the Academy, but I was wondering if “they” would frown on keeping my “stuff” (a vehicle and other belongings) in a storage place in Colorado Springs. (I’m from Casper, WY originally) I realize most people just keep their things at home. But, in my case, my family is moving to another state right after I go to the Academy. It would be much easier for them if I were able to do so, rather than toting all my stuff with them.

Thanks,

You cannot own a vehicle within a 150 mile radius of the Academy.

If you get stuck for a place further away for the vehicle, let me know. We're about 4 hours away, but have lots of room to park stuff (ranch).

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm glad I got that cleared up.

-Thanks for the offer heartcross, but I think I'll just rent out a storage area in Casper, WY instead.

If you get caught with a car too early in your cadet career, you can lose the privilege for the REST of your cadet time... Be careful.

Does that mean I'm not allowed to borrow a car from an upperclassman?

No, you can do that. You can even borrow a car from your sponsor. You just can't have a car in your name (or control--meaning a car titled to your parents or someone back home that you're borrowing long term) within 150 miles.
