What to get girlfriend for Christmas?? I need help!

Ok, just like the title says.... What should I get my girlfriend for Christmas?? I am a high school senior looking to spend $50-$75. I'd like to stay away from jewlrey b/c my price range limits me to mostly *****ty quality stuff and obviously that's what I want to keep from getting.

So- let's hear some suggestions and help a guy out! Thanks!

A gift basket from Bed Bath and Beyond. Chicks dig that soapy, perfumy crap.

just to clarify i have a few questions:

how old are you and your girlfriend?

how long have you been dating?

were you friends before you started dating, if so, for how long?

does she like romantic gestures, like a candlelit dinner, etc.?

is she materialistic, or does she prefer sentimental value over monetary value?

Hey thanks for the timely replies-

both 17yo

"really" dating for about a month... but we've talked since like Sept.

Friends? yes, she was my Bio. class this semester as well

What girl dosen't like romantic gestures, right? Seriously though, I thought about the "nice dinner" type idea, but I'm not really the guy to pull that off.

Hmm I guess I would have to say materialistic, as this is what my gift ideas revolved around. But like I said the ladies like the romantic things, though I obviously don't want to get too sappy and be like "Here is a heart necklace with my picture on it to remember me by when we are apart in college" Yeah, none of that BS...

Thanks again you guys

There are so many possibilities. But there is only one real choice: Mop Flops. mopflops.com

If you really want to wow her, you should also include a pint of soap

Get her "The Alphabet of Manliness' so she can better understand the nature of the male human.

^lmfao

bluedevil suprisingly I'm in the same position as you except...I know what I'm getting her lol.

this was something i thought about getting her but but my spendning limit was higher so i got her something else but this will def work for you.

go to threadless.com and pick out a shirt that describes her. then on the christmas card explain why you got her each t-shirt. inside jokes are always good.

Well, I ordered a 100% cashmere sweater today... Her birthday is coming up also and I'll look into threadless.com!

cashmere sweaters are a great choice!
only drawback: if you ordered it too big, she'll hate you. if you ordered it too small, she'll hate herself and you.

aww thats cute. You should burn her all the songs that remind you of her on a CD. It's cheap, but girls (including me) dig that kind of stuff

I'm a girl, and I'd suggest: lotion from bath and body works (just about every girl uses it, and those gift baskets have a lot of "stuff" not everyone likes), a purse if you know her style, or something you heard her mention (keep a list and then give it to her down the road after she forgot she hinted at it).

I think the sweater is a cool idea, as long as she's a sweater type and you knew the size. =)

Give her a rose.

She'll just be happy and think it's sweet.

Then, surprise her later in the day with something more ---try urban outfitters. they have all sorts of awesome knicknacks - including jewelry that's really cute and she'd definitely wear...well, maybe. i don't know her, but i wear it and i'm a girl..so that's my basis haha
