What to say to college admissions

I'm only a sophomore but there's a certain college that I really want to apply to, and I need to ask them a personal unique question that's really important right now.
Is it appropriate to ask the college admissions department about how they would view me as an applicant if I went ahead with my personal unique plan?

I really don't want to annoy this college because it's my dream school. So I don't know if asking personal questions would annoy them, does anyone know?

If you feel like it would be worth the time to ask this question, I say do it. Honestly, it will most likely be answered and then forgotten about, regardless of the outcome (positive or negative response), since you are only a sophomore.

You might be rejected two years from now regardless of what anybody in the admissions office says today. But it’ll probably help to hear an opinion.

I don’t think it would annoy them at all. They did apply for the job; they probably expect much worse from people than what you have to ask.

Why don’t you run it by your college counselor at your high school? They deal with adcoms all the time. They may get you in contact with an adcom who is willing to answer your question about your plan before you contact your specific college.

I wouldn’t ask them anything right now while they are up to their eyeballs in the current admissions process. I’d wait until things have calmed down.

Thanks everyone. As of now, 2 of you have said I should and 2 of you implied that I shouldn’t… so any more opinions?
