what to wear for sorority rush?

suggestions?
for
1. business casual
2. business formal
3. cocktail dresses

An old mom may not be the best source but I’m a clothes horse and so is my daughter so I’ll give you my take. For business casual I’d suggest slacks or a skirt with a cute top. Flats, heels or boots would be acceptable depending on the outfit. Tights would be cute. For business formal, I’d suggest something like what I’d call a “church dress” although I wouldn’t think it needed to be especially modest. A step down from a cocktail dress. Cocktail dress seems self explanatory. Along the lines of what I think girls in high school wear to homecoming dances. Important note: you’ll be doing alot of walking and standing so think about whether you can tolerate heels …

Remember that you are not dressing to impress guys, so keep the cocktail dresses on the conservative side. You don’t want to look like you are ready to go to a club. For all looks, stay away from frumpy, flashy, short, tight or too many logos. Although I don’t know Tulane’s recruitment specifically, it is generally better to be a little over dresed than underdressed.

Agree with mamxyzbear about shoes. Also, the day is long, so wear comfortable shoes, especially in the early rounds with lots of walking. if it looks like rain, bring an umbrella-too many girls don’t and they look like drowned rats.

I just saw that you have a T-shirt for Philanthopy day. Pair with NICE jeans or slacks. If this was an SEC recruitment, I would recommend a cute skirt, but I don’t think it is necessary. for business and pref, break out the heels, and you can’t go wrong with a dress on both days, though pref is dressier. You generally can’t go wrong with a black dress for pref, but color can make you stand out.
