I was playing with the schedule finder and I came across a particular class that runs either:

Everyday (Monday-Friday) for 50 minutes

Every other day (Tuesday and Thursday) for 80 minutes plus an additional quiz section for 80 minutes (Friday).

The two classes are the exact same but just with different time schedules. I was wondering if anyone has a preference on which one I should take.

Well, it just depends on your personal habits and preferences, as well as the rest of your schedule…

I personally like classes in big chunks of time and having days where I have class all day, and then days where I might not have even one class (but this is also because I have a job).

On the other hand, classes that meet every day without a quiz section are probably smaller and you will develop more of a relationship with the professor. I think in some classes this could really be beneficial, where in others it doesn’t matter as much. It really depends on the class and your goals for the class (is this class a part of your major?) I also really like the TAs. I find them more approachable than professors sometimes and am comfortable asking “dumb” questions, where with professors I’m more conscious of how I interact and present myself, so think about not having the quiz section.

Hope that helped. If it’s comforting- just realize that in the long run they’re just details and probably won’t make that much of a difference.
