Which type of class do you like?

1) The ones spread out (Mon-Fri) 50 min a day?

or

2) The same class as above but only on two days of the week for 1hr 50 min?

For me I prefer the longer classes over only two days a week. Sometimes they even let us out early. I can get a whole week to study the material by myself and go into the lectures as almost a review of what I have been studying. These are also the smaller classes and I feel the TA that is teaching it is just as good as the professors teaching the 500 student class. I find this to be effective.

huh. I haven’t seen the first option you’ve metioned
This quarter I have one class that’s 50 min a day M-W-F w/50 min quiz secion on T
and next quarter 2 more like that

So only 4-50 min classes (including the quiz section)

I like the more spread out classes, because I learn most of the material through the lectures. I only use the textbooks if I don’t understand something presented. Long block classes make it harder for me to grasp all the material presented because so much is crammed into one lecture.

@travelgirl, classes like psych 101 are (or mine was…) 5 days a week, 50 mins a day. no quiz section

to answer the question, depends on the class. if it’s one I like/is in my major/I need help with (ie: chem), I’d prefer it 5 days a week so I can get exposure, learn as much as I can, etc.

if it’s a class I’m not so into (ie: English), 2 days a week is just fine for me. I don’t want to wake up for that class any more then I have to
