Am I missing anything?
Safeties: UCM, UCR, UCSC
Safeties-Matches: UCSB, UCD, UCI
Matches-Reaches: UCSD, UCLA, UCB
It really depends. I would say you should definitely get into a few if not all of the safeties I listed. UCSD, UCLA. and UCB are a lot more difficult for someone to get into, but I think you have a decent chance at each.
depends on whether you’re a minority, low income, first generation, ect. if you’re any of those im pretty sure you’ll get in. oh and it never hurts to take the essays seriously. if youve ever had to go through hard stuff in life and can express some maturity im sure you’ll be fine.
ok thanks guys! I have a really good background story about living with only one parent which coincides strongly with a psychological major. I forgot to mention that I’ve had a job for over a year and was quickly promoted to a shift lead position. Anxiety is killing me right now.
URM is not a consideration for the UC’s since they banned affirmative action for California public schools. Being First generation/low income can help but is not a guarantee.
