What UC's Can I Get Into? Help Please

I am currently a junior at high school. I have a GPA of 3.71 weighted and I'm about 250/500 class rank. My SAT I score was 2310 after the second try, and my SAT II scores are 720 Math level 2, 730 World History, and 710 Ecology. For extra curriculars, I'm in speech and debate, I'm the vice-president of key club at my school, and I have a lot of community service hours due to the IB Program. Speaking of IB, all my classes for junior and senior year are IB classes, and they're pretty tough.

I just really want to know what colleges I might have a chance to get into. My dream UC is UCLA, but idk if I could get into it. My realistic is like UC Davis, UCI, or maybe UCSD. I'm not ELA so still have to wonder if i can get into Davis or UCI.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

i assume U are in-state. S is in Berk, ranked 1/850 in HS, ELC, 12 AP’s all 5 except 2, but SAT less than yours. His ec was average but got Regents interview for Cal. Your school rank is unimpressive but SAT I is very good, and u r IB. Paradoxically many bright students do not go IB in our HS cuz 1.they are taught badly or 2. subjects offered are weak in some areas e.g. science, electives
You are a safe catch for UCDavis, UCI,UCSB, good reach for UCSD, but UCLA/Cal really depends on IB predictions, GPA and ec. Work on your grades and good luck!

1 - UC’s dont consider rank in admissions

2 - ur in at all UC’s and 50/50 at LA/Berekley because of GPA

your class rank doesn’t make sense… are you saying 50% of the students at your HS have a weighted GPA higher than 3.71? 3.71 weighted is about 80% at our local California Charter high school, with 3.85 weighted being the start of the top decile.

In any case, except for being top 4% giving you ELC, I agree rank doesn’t matter, so moving on…

Ave. weighted GPA for UCLA admist was 4.18 this year, Berkeley was 4.20. As you may know, the UCs put more emphasis on GPA than on SAT, in line with other prestige Publics like Michigan over the years. Berkeley and UCLA have shown a pattern of not being enthusiastic about high scoring standardized testers who fail to distinguish themselves in the classroom. These two schools are really looking for top 2-3% of the CA HS graduates as shown in classroom performance first, then on standardized tests.

I agree you will likely get into a couple of the mid-tiers – Santa Barbara, Irvine, Davis, and possibly the tweener… UCSD.

Your stats are perfect for an LAC. LACs love to accept high scoring test takers, and good but not great classroom performers, and find a way to motivate them in their classwork.

After admissions results are out, if you did not get into UCLA, you can always consider the great hope for 2nd chancers to UCLA and Berkeley – community college for a 1-1.5 years (depending on the # of AP credits), then transfer into UCLA.

UCLA, UCSD, and UCB i’d say are high targets/low reaches just cause you’re GPA is lower than they’re averages, but your SAT scores might make up for it. UCI and UCD you’re probably in, their averages are like 4.0 though. But i’d still say you’re most likely in to those, same for UCSB. UCSC, UCR and UCM you’re definitely in!
