And I do believe I have a kick ads essay

Are you in-state?

@capitalamerica yes yes I am. I’m in los angles.

What’s your gpa?

Well considering UC’s are a numbers game, compare your GPA and SAT to all 9 and see where you land. That’s probably where you’re going to get in. They will not look at freshman year grades, and your upward trend looks solid.

Looks like you fall short of the UC/CSU minimum of level 2 of high school language other than English (the D grade in second semester of Spanish 2 leaves you with just level 1.5 completed).
<a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors;

ACT score needs to go up.

Calculate your UC GPA and try to compare yourself to others who have applied through Naviance (if LAUSD has it… I’m not really familiar with them tbh). If not, I can try to compare it for you. What you really need to do is boost up your standardized test scores. Like @WhartonnotHYPS said, UC’s are mostly a numbers game. Once you reach a certain threshold, you can either be a virtually guaranteed admit or reject. Your numbers admittedly seem a bit low, so you want to get out of that sinkhole if you are in it at all (which I can’t really tell right now since it’s different for many of the different UC’s).

The numbers and the essays won’t matter if the OP does not meet the minimum a-g requirements (including the language other than English that s/he appears to be deficient in for UC and CSU purposes).

^ That is indeed true. It would have probably been wise for him to maybe take a course over the summer to rectify that D if possible, or at least have taken it for more than just two years…

@ucbalumnus‌ @capitalamerica‌ One thing OP should do is take community college classes or online classes to boost the A-G course count. Here’s a great site to help: <a href=“A-G Policy Resource Guide”>A-G Policy Resource Guide;

@WhartonnotHYPS I just need 1 semester of a language, I’m good for all my a-g courses because if nobody noticed I take 8 classes not 6 with a 3.4 or 3.5 uc GPA. I just want to know where I can get into is all that’s it

@capitalamerica @ucbalumnus Please I know what needs to be done I just want to know where are the most likely places I will get into as far as uc’s go.

@shadelz: You have posted several times since January of this year. The SAT/ACT score posted above, is this correct?? In January, you posted an SAT of 1850 and ACT of 27 and then again in January, SAT of 2050 and ACT of 34. Now you have been posting SAT 1750 ACT 25. What scores are correct?? What about your F’s in AP Art History?? You do not need them to meet your Art requirement but will looked upon badly by the Adcoms.
I posted on one of your other threads and calculated your UC GPA which is 3.48 weighted and 3.28 unweighted. With the above posted test scores and your UC GPA along with the D and F’s on your transcript, you MIGHT have a chance at UCR and UCM. All the rest would be reaches. I would suggest you look to some Cal States such as CSUN, CSUSM, CSU Channel Islands, CSUB, CSUSB etc… Plug your STATs into the SuperMatch feature on this website to help you find some good schools.

How do you get F’s in an art class? I got B in ceramics for just one missing assignment. (all As and 4 Bs for my 10th & 11th grade years)

@Te4mVygrin yes well it was an AP Art History class with the worst teachers I have ever know
