And how many months apart did you take them?
7th grade: 1670
8th grade: 1710
8th grade: 1940
10th grade: 2160
11th grade: 2170
8th: 1490
9th: 1830
11th: 2050
12: 2250
The difference between my first and second tests was a measly 40 points, but I raised one subscore 60 points, which I was proud of.
2290 (800, 690, 800)
2330 (800, 750, 780)
Taken about seven months apart, I think.
670 CR, 720 M, 770 W
800 CR, 700M, 750 W
Superscore: 2290 (800CR, 720M, 770W)
I still think I somehow messed up my first sitting in CR, by bubbling in wrongly or something, because I had been scoring mid-700s in practice tests, but who knows. Taken about 5-6 months apart…
1670 -> 1930. Two months apart. It was the last SAT and this SAT test.
First time: 2200 (750 W, 700 M, 750 CR)
second time: 2400
took about 5 months apart, october 2014 and march 2015.
11th grade: One and done.
First–2180(700CR 730M 700W)
Second- 2170(750 CR 710M 700W)
Superscore-2230(750CR 730M 750W)
1st (May 2015) - 1900
2nd (October 2015) -2050
1st (Jan 2015) - 2250
2nd (Mar 2015) - 2220
3rd (October 2015) - 2370
Big jump with the last one (was one question away from a 2400 - arghh!)
1st May 2015: 1660
2nd June 2015: 1930
3rd October 2015: 2000
Done
1st (June after junior year): 2050 (570 CR, 800 M, 680 W)
2nd (November senior year): 2070 (610 CR, 800 M, 660 W)
Superscore: 2090
8th grade (for CTY): 1720
11th grade: 2250
I’m retaking in December so I’ll tell you how it goes :P.
@collegenow111: 770 in math???
It feels good to get that score, but frustrating to be so close from that elusive 2400, right???
@JuicyMango Definitely - and my (Indian) parents were reasonably disappointed, especially since what kept me from a 2400 was a REALLY dumb mistake…oh well. Hopefully admissions officers will realize that a 770 is only 1 wrong and that my 1 point loss wasn’t due to a lack of ability, but rather due to a careless error.
Anyways, I’m finally happy with my score…2370 is good enough for anywhere. DONE WITH THE FRIGGIN SAT!
Too bad I couldn’t get this score the first time around…but then again I was an idiotic sophomore the first 2 times.
@collegenow111: Yeah, I know what you mean…I have Indian parents of my own :).
I’m pretty sure 2350+=2400 for admissions officers. You’re set my friend…2370 is above average even in ivy leagues. Hopefully I can have the same score increase as you did in December (I got a 2250 just like your first score).
@JuicyMango
Thanks man, I appreciate that. Yeah, it definitely would have been sweet to get the 2400, but I’ll settle for 2370 over my earlier scores any day.
Hey, I hope you get the score you want in December - you can definitely do it seeing as you got a 2250 the first time.
Are you a junior?
Sophmore June: 800M 670CR 690W
Junior October: 800M 730CR 800W
Junior November: TBD
@collegenow111: Yup, I’m a junior. I actually get 2300’s on practice tests, so I feel like I didn’t do as well this time, which is why I’m retaking in December. Thanks, I hope I get the scores I want as well!
