For the people who excelled at their SAT scores (750-800), what was your study plan? I think information of that sort can help, since we are entering the summer/study-your-head-off-for-next-year zone. Any information would be appreciated.

Umm... I didn't have one?

I took AP Chem and APUSH, so I had technically been studying all year for the SAT IIs. Also, once we took the AP test in Chem, we were literally finished with everything, so we took four practice tests in class. Bam. No more studying required.

I didn't study at all for US History, to be honest, but was well-prepared from my course.

Math II... I could have done more studying. I took one practice test, and learned how to do nCr/nPr literally two minutes before the test from a sophomore doing probability in Algebra II =P I think I did okay, though.

thanks-anything else?

Relied on whatever I had to cram from AP testing. Shame there's no Calculus SAT II.

Its important to understand the material when you learn it in class. To do well, you can't just know what formula to plug in, you need to know WHY too!
I start a few(4-6) weeks before, depends on the subject.
it's really helpful if you are already taking the class, but that doesn't mean you should skip anything in the prep book.
I get a good prep book (I pick the ones that over prepare you, like Barron's)
I would make a reviewing schedule/calendar, so i go over like a couple sections a day(base on my calendar) and do the practice problems. so i should have 1.5 to 2 weeks left just for practice test. I would do one practice test a day, then check and correct it the next day and find out why I got it wrong and what i need to watch out for next time.
Time practice tests can help you increase your speed and accuracy, so does knowing the material well.
Then the day before the test, I re-look over some stuff, but i don't do any actual practice TEST, i just try to relax, and the day of the test, i look over formulas one last time and then take the test!

I would also say it depends on the subject you are taking
But that works for math and sciences
Languages... you just have to be good at it, collected over years of learning
History iono never took any

just don't be lazy, tell you self spending some time everyday is worth it, cuz you'll get a better score!
